This is episode 96 recorded on July
17, 2025 and this is Brian. In Thorns news,
Thorns FC announced on July 14 that
defender Mallie McKenzie has signed a one year
contract extension through the 2026 season.
In Timbers News, the Timbers are falling. The
Timbers fell 2 to 1 away to St. Louis
City on July 13. David Da Costa opened the
scoring in the 19th minute, but St. Louis
found an equalizer and the go ahead goal in
the second half to secure the result.
At the anniversary match of the 2025 MLS
Championship season, the Timbers ended their
10 match home unbeaten streak by losing 1
to nil to Real Salt Lake last night. Real
Salt Lake found the game winner in the 83rd
minute of the match. David Da Costa suffered
a groin injury during warm ups and was unavailable
for the match. The Timbers have
fallen to sixth in the west with a bunch of
matches coming up with the teams above
the Timbers. Buckle up y'all. School

is hosting viewing parties for upcoming away

Timbers at LAFC doors at 7pm Kick off at 7:30pm.
Aug. 3 the Thorns are playing at Washington
Spirit. It's a brunch match. Doors at 9am
Kick off at 9:30am. School supplies drive
and Raffle. It's time to make a difference
for kids heading back to school. Donate
school supplies at upcoming match days and
watch parties through August 10th. This
summer we're collecting supplies for the kids
of Portland Community Football Club.
If you don't know PCFC, it's time to check
them out. They remove barriers for kids
We need any and all school supplies including
calculators, pencils, dry erase, markers,
paper, notebooks and well, everything else.
Please keep in mind a variety of items
is more useful than many of a single item.
Anything a kid needs for school is helpful.
Brand name items strongly preferred and new
items only. Please when you donate, make
sure you sign up to enter a raffle for signed
items, including a Valeri bobblehead,
a team signed Thorns pride scarf from 2022

community. 2025 Pride Parade July 20. Join
the 107IST to walk in the Portland Pride
Parade on Sunday, July 20. The parade steps
off at 11am and is a leisurely stroll
through downtown Portland. Join us in supporting
our LGBTQIA siblings and friends.
Euros Finals Watch party at Gol July 27. Join
the Riveters bright and early for the
UEFA Euros Final 9am kickoff at Gol. Doors
open at 8. Breakfast, Breakfast drinks
and breakfast merch. Sort of. We'll have a
few mugs if you need a mug. Make sure to
check out the sticker table and bring some
to swap. See you there. Raffle for Thorns
Field Seats against the Seattle Reign match
on August 10th. Here's your chance to grab
two field seats for this rivalry match. Seats
are right at midfield and you will get
free food and drinks delivered to your table.
We'll draw two winners on August 9th
and each winner will receive two seats. Purchase

Timbers2 is set to host the club's first
ever match in Eugene, Oregon on August 3rd.
The historic event will feature an MLS Next

Vancouver Whitecaps on September 24 and
Seattle Sounders on October 4. Tickets are
being finalized for the August 6 Leagues
cup match against Club America at Q2 Stadium
in Austin, Texas and should be available
on the way days calendar soon. Thorns: tickets
are now available for the following:
on September 5, Chicago Stars on September
14, Gotham FC on September 26, Orlando
Pride on October 10 and Angel City FC on October
